Mend Honda HRT216SDA Lawnmower Muffler Smoke

why is my lawn mower's muffler smoking?

When I run my mower black smoke comes out of the muffler. Will it burn off? Is it safe to run? I don't want it to catch on fire.I have a Honda Harmony ll, model # HRT216SDA

black smoke is usually a indication that the carb is allowing too much fuel


idle mixture screw proably needs adjustment ....check air filter too it can cause a rich condition .....or needle and seat
