I switched my dishwasher on (whirlpool ADP4501/5)?

I,ve got the same with an ADG722 so if anyone comes up with an answer I would be grateful

You need to set the water hardness level for the machine. I shall try and dig out my old manual and get back to you on how to do it?

It's a kind of code thingy for service engineers - the green light should flash for a bit, stop, flash the same number of flashes before stopping again and then repeat the cycle ad infinitum.

The number of flashes indicate what's wrong, but I can't give you a rundown on that, I'm afraid, Michael - the only reason I found your query was because I'm looking for an answer myself!

Have you tried resetting it?
