Whirlpool Dishwasher ADG957?

My dishwasher is refusing to go on to a cycle - lights come on but when i press start the start light begins flashing and it won't go any further - any ideas

I had some initial luck by leaving it for a while (3 days). it seemed to sort itself. Now, however, i have to trip the breaker (power it off), then I get one cycle out of it before it becomes non-responsive. Is there an online resource to show where the valves, filters, switches, etc are?

I have exactly the same problem. Could it be the water inlet valve, pressure switch or timer?
