I cannot eject the tape from my Sony Handycam?

I cannot eject the tape from my Sony Handycam,DCR-TRV250, The door opens but the mechanism will not eject the tape.

this is wonderful! i had the same exact problem and when i took the battery out for 30 minutes it worked just fine.

I had the exact same problem. The silver tape holder would eject half way, but then stop. The sucker would not continue to open the casette door. TRY TO TAKE THE BATTERY OFF THE UNIT FOR 30 MINUTES, THEN RECONNECT IT. I did this, and the camcorder door worked perfectly. Now I can return the new camcorder I bought last week.
