How can I fix my stalling mower?

Have a Sears gas lawn mower probably 5-8 yrs. old. Put in new plug,new gas and cleaned the bowl,hoses and carb with carb cleaner. After priming and starting it stalls. Any suggestions? Thanks

If your lawn mower has a Briggs and Stratton type engine, you need to fit a new gasket and diapragm in between the carburettor base and the tank. Part Number of gasket set is 495770, costs £4.95 in the UK.

sounds like the flywheel key is either sheared or pinched throwing the timing off
