How can I fix my washing machine a Hoover ACM15 UK?

No electrics cut out at spur fuse - is this a door catch fault as it is a little difficult to close a times - is there a electric sensor on the door at fault

The door catch sticks and is a little difficult to close resulting in the fuse at the spur to blow is this the cause

Sounds like the front panel programmer is faulty, probably a worn internal gearing or intermittent drive motor. I assume that you have checked and make sure that each action works (drain pump, motor wash action, motor spin action, fill, etc )by driving the programmer by hand to the relevant positions. If these functions work its unlikely to be a problem on the main control PCB.
