How can I stop the noise from air in the water pipes?
When the shower is used, a loud noise persists until another tap (cold water) is turned on and then gradually turned off until the noise stops. This can take a few attempts before the noise stops. Is it air in the pipes and if so what can I do about it or do I need to call a plumber?
Pipe clips to hold the pipes down. There shouldn't be any air in the pipe at all, what is probably happening is that the pressure in the pipes is causing the pipes to rattle (its called water hammer). More fixings on the pipes usually cures this. Good luck.
