This is for the Grohe system and relates to the torbeck valve which decides to become very very noisy and sporadic and the syphon itself which allows the water to constantly trickle and then freely flow into the basin over time.
Both of the problems are seal related.
On the torbeck valve front, pull the arm off the hinge and you should see a flat black rubbberish seal. Use a pin to gently prise this out, flip it over and refit it. Job done. No idea what's wrong, or how long that will last, but it could relate to the issue with the siphon...
This is hillarious. The part number on mine is 43 544. Pull the bottom part of the unit out and you'll see two silicon/rubber seals. After around two years these silicon seals (I guess it depends on your local water?) develop bubbles within them - which breaks the seal. You'll need to replace the seals or pin-prick the bubbles and try refitting for the short term.
This is obviously a GROHE sourcing problem which I hope they address and replace their customers seal for *free* rather than charging £15 (I'm in the UK) to replace the seals as part of the lower half of the siphon.
I hope this helps to avoid tedious hours of tinkering with equipment that should have a life of decades rather than, in my case, two years.
