Mend Citroen Saxo 1.1 R Work Checked Fuse

citreon saxo 1.1 r reg, my cigarette lighter?

my lighter doesn't work, but i'v checked the fuse and it's fine and my horn etc that runs off same fuse still works so it must be the lighter it's self how can i fix it and make it work??

test to see if the circuit is complete using either a test meter or a 12v light bulb and a piece of wire if you connect between the two connections on the rear of the cigarette lighter you will either get a 12v(could possibly be up to 13.8v) reading or the light will glow, if this happens replace lighter unit approx £4-£5 at any motorists accessories shop ie Halfords etc.
