Mend White Knight BG 442/1 Dryer Heat Minutes

what part causes WHITE knight gas dryer to switch off heat after 4 minutes?

WHITE KNIGHT gas dryer BG 442/1 SERIAL No 9729 034276 switches off the burner after 4 minutes. A erattic clicking can be heard like a selenoid ,as the gas igniter also clicks 2-3 times to try & relight the gas. nothing reignites so contnues to tumble cold. can restart via the timer ,only it runs hot for less time than before. what part/s do i need to replace?

The same thing happened to my BG 437. It tumbled but gas stayed on for 10-15 seconds each time on the cycle with no heat being produced. I tested the thermostats - all working and then replaced the FFD (flame failure device) this is an electrode situated in the path of the gas flame. Has worked perfectly after this. It is held in by one screw and got at by removing both small panels at the back of the machine
