Mend Zanussi Dryer Cleaned Condensor

Zanussi Washer/Dryer WJS1665W - Intermittent Dryer problem?

With CK's help I recently cleaned out the Condensor Tank and thought that I had got my previous problem (only drying for 10-15 minutes) sorted. The wiring on the temperature sensor at bottom of the drum inside the black rubber connecting pipe (Capacitor Connecting Sleeve - as described on the Technical Drawing) was OK.

Now there is a new problem on either of the 2 heat settings "Cottons" or "Synthetics". 1 - the countdown timer finishes too quickly e.g. a 30 minute drying cycle is done in 10 and 2 - There is no heat being generated. There are no abnormal noises.

This is happening every now and then so it either works like normal or the above happens, but in all fairness the above becoming more frequent.

I DID notice that the Temperature Probe/Sensor on the Ducting at the top and front of the machine was a bit loose of it's Gasket but wired up OK. Not sure if this is the problem (should the Probe/Sensor be firmly attached to the Gasket?) or is it a PCB fault..?

Again there are NO Error Codes being displayed.

Finally on a washing cycle there are no problems at all.

Any and all help will be greatly appreciated !! Thanks in advance !!

quick countdown on dryer tends to be a faulty sensor or wiring (bottom sensor on capacitor pipe or one on duct has bad thermal contact).you mentioned loose sensor on ducting so could be a possibility.

Right now lets get technical>>>>
turn off machine with on/off switch on fascia
Press and hold the start button and skip button and then turn on the appliance with the on/off switch on the fascia whilst holding buttons pressed.
when it bleeps and lights start chasing you need to let go of the buttons your pressing and now press the 1st button on the left (cottons program?).
each press of this button will perform a function.at press 9 or 10 you may get an Exx in display.xx being the fault code.post this code and I will try tell you which sensor is a fault
