Mend Kenwood KDC-MPV6022 Help Bought Play

Kenwood KDC-MPV6022 shows error mssg with all CDs. Help??

I have a Kenwood KDC-MPV6022, bought used and I haven't been able to get it to play any CDs, either retail, burned, or MP3 burned. It received and ejects the CDs normally, but when I select CD as the source the screen pops up E-05. The manual says that's a CD inserted backwards, but I've tried both directions and nothing works.

Any ideas??

I have similar prob. cd's come up error that means it's dirty. I have found that by inserting and ejecting, after error, it will work eventually. It sometimes takes me 10 mins. of this but almost always works. Good Luck. S. (my deck is mpv6022).

It could be your lazer lens is faulty - if it had been touched the oils of the finger will make the lens not work.
