Mend Panasonic SC-HT880W DVD Player Remote Control

remote control not working?

i have dvd theater sound system(sc-ht880w)for many years .for some reason the remote stopped working. only tv vcr tv/av and numbers buttons only the red light comes up on the remote. the aux tuner/band dvd/cd rewind forward play pause etc., buttons dont work. i have changed batteries but no luck. so i have bought another new remote same one(eur7722xco) its also does not work, and doing same as 1st remote did with certain buttons working only the red light. please can you help me.

Your dvd player is likely switched to dvd 2 or 3 if so when you push a button the player display will show dvd 2 or 3. Hold down the 2 or 3 and enter buttons on th remote contron for a few secconds. you may have to try several times to get it to work .

Look at the dvd player as you push buttons the display may show dvd 1 or dvd 2 if it does the press the enter button and the number that shows in the display on the remote control for several secconds, it's a pain you may have to try several times.
