why is craftsman 4 cycle weedwacker not turning attachments?
I have a craftsman weedwacker, with weedwacker, cultivator, and brush cutter attachments, and they will not turn, you can hear the rod spin and the attachments act like they are trying to turn, the engine has plenty of power, its like the rod that goes inside attachment isnt getting a good conection- any way to fix this?

I had the same problem. Part number 27 on this diagram was the female end for the driveshaft. It was completely rounded out inside.

The shaft from the engine has a receiver on the end of it with a square socket to accept the male end shaft of the attachments. For whatever reason, the male and female ends are not mating tightly together, probably the female socket has been rounded out. Take a flashlight and look into the motor shaft end. You'll probably see that that is the case. If so, the shaft from the engine will need to be replaced, cannot replace the end
