Auger for Frigidaire (model frs20zrg) ice dispenser is slipping?

The auger for my Frigidaire (model frs20zrg) ice dispenser is slipping. The Motor is turning the shaft but the conection is slipping. The auger will turn freely by hand.

I'm having the exact same problem, and as of yet haven't been able to fix it. I took the face plate off of the ice dispenser, and can see that the gears inside aren't sitting properly in one another, causing the mechanism to slip. Anyone have any tips on how to get these buggers to squeeze in on one another?
