Mend Philips Magnavox Picture Sound Fix

What happened to my TV?

watching tv and picture went out and smelt a funny smell but no smoke. Unplugged tv immediately. When I plug my TV back in, it makes a smell and funny sound, no picture. Has my TV just bit the dust or is this something relatively easy to fix? Thanks. Philips Magnavox

Sounds like a circuit panel gone knaff, suggest a TV repair man it may be unsafe.
