How to clear up cloudy screen?

I was wondering if someone could tell me if it is possible to clear up our cloudy screen? The t.v. is a lxi 52 inch projection t.v. that was sold at sears store. We bought it from some people we know but I don't know the year it was manfactured. What is wrong is the screen looks cloudy and I was wondering if there is someway to clear it up to make it come in better? I didn't know if they make an adapter to connect it or if something needs changed on the t.v. Thanks for any help if need any more information on this t.v. post here and I'll do my best to provide information.
