Mend Chrysler Intrepid Engine 2001 Bought

How do I de-sluge an engine?

2001 intrpeid 2.7 engine. I bought the car used (around 10,000) miles ago and have kept the oil and filter changed. Now the mechanic says the reason my oil light comes on intermittently is that the engine is sludged. The warranty company says it is not cover as it is a pre-existing condition. Is there a way to de-sludge it or am I screwed?

you are not screwed. go to your nearest car accessary shop and get a bottle of valvoline engine flush full instrucions on bottle .start engine add engine flush to engine leave on idle for about 5 mins do not rev and do not drive vehicle after 5 mins drop engine oil an filter hay presto clean engine

You can buy engine cleaner from any car shop but it costs a bit but well worth it.My forty years experience is just petrol and turn the engine over WITH THE PLUG LEADS OFF .
