Hi I'm trying to locate where I plug my diagnostics machine into on my 2001 golf v6 4 motion as my engine mananagement light has come on after I bought it car runs fine tho any information would be great thankyou

I believe you pull the centre console ashtray right out of its slot and slide the little panel above the cigarette lighter to the right. The OBD connector is behind.
