My Proline TDC6A tumbles, but doesn't get warm?

yeah my sensor went faulty , I used a multimeter to check the continuity . if it is good there will be a contact straight through but if its faulty it will have an open circuit, if you have a multi meter set it to beep and put the terminals over either side of the sensors , if they beep they ar good , make sure the machine is off and the plug removed from the wall socket!!!

With a tester check that their is a 240V supply to the elements, going in and coming out, if no supply is coming out then it is probably your heating element at fault,if like mine you have a supply inand out then check backdown the line where their are 2 sensors units for humidity/thermal cutouts and again see if their is a supply voltage in and out of both sides,mine has only a supply in and therefore is not working so its telling the system that everything is dry,I have shorted out 1 sensor and now the dryer is working Ok

Hi,
the same thing has just started happening with my drier too. (same model) Its only a few months old, but unfortunately I cant find any paperwork for it...not even the manual!

Can someone tell me what are sats?
And how much is it likely to coast for the thermal cut out?

Thanks for any help...from a woman with no clue on electrical appliances!

Replace the thermal cut-outs above the heater at the rear of the dryer.......HOTPOINT PART NO 1701583. Always keep the filtetr and the condensor clean , also let the dryer time out the last 10 minutes on the timer as this cools the dryer down when you have finished drying.
