help with my door of a hoover soft wave 1000 please?

Hi there,
i have very cleverly, bought a replacement ring which fits on the interior of the glass door - as the catch which sits proud on the door had been snapped off which meant I couldn't close the door. I've not so cleverly kept a note of which way the glass bowl of the door sits and am now I am trying to place it all back together!! I can't seem to find a photo anyway on the net which adequately shows the door, so that I can establish which way the slant of the glass sits!...Arrggghh!!...does this make sense to anyone?
