Peugeot Speedfight 100 will not start, spins over but no go. Advice please?

I now have a speedfight 100, V reg, the type with the AEC 400 CDI etc...

Anyway, it will not start & run...

The obvious seems fine, it has fuel, it has a good spark from the plug too when spun over... immobiliser light goes out when turned on & scooter turns over just fine... but... no go, not even a single cough or splutter...
I got it as a non runner so no idea of its past history, I was told it simply stopped running, thats all I know...

Any ideas that I could follow up on this particular model...?

Do they have an common faults...?

I did wonder the condition of the reeds... ?
