what is wrong with my dvd player?

i put a cd in and it keeps telling me there is no disc. Ive cleaned the lens done all that? what is wrong with this piece?

If you really mean a CD not a DVD is means that the CD laser is dirty of gone bad. Try a lens cleaner first.
