Mend Maytag LAT8600 Spin Water

My Maytag Washing Machine is sick. Model number is LAT8600. Help?

Last weekend I was in another room and heard a whistling sound coming from my washing machine. By the time I got there it smelt just like it does when you get your vacum cleaner belt stuck and it spins and breaks.

My Washer is barely aggitaing and it will not pump out the water and spin the clothes. I really can't afford a repair man. I hope someone can give me some of there knowlegde.

the belt is stuck or something is caught in it.tilt the machine backwards at 45 degree angle and remove the obstruction on the belt,its a maytag they dont go wrong.
