Mend Poulan Riding Mower Battery Safety Switch

poulan riding mower won't turn over-nothing happens?

My mower key will turn, I have changed the battery. I have checked all connections (I think), The mower is in neutral, battery terminals are on correctly, I tried disconnecting the safety switch under the seat. Nothing still. My grass is 6" tall!! Help!!!!

open the hood and spin the top of the flywheel by hand, then try starting it. it worked for me!!
