Diplomat ADP8342 reset answer.
To reset the dishwasher use a combination of the On/Off button and the program button.
What seemed to work for me was to turn the power off, you will notice that the lights take a second or two to fade. During this short time press the program button 3-4 times, the program lights should move from left to right, if you turn the power back on before all the lights have faded you should be left with a program selected and if you close the door the program will start.
This overrides some sensers in the dishwasher that are cutting the appliance out because it thinks there are too many suds.
An engineer came out to look at my dishwasher, after I'd managed to reset it for myself. But he did come in useful because he said the problem is caused by tablets that are really designed for full-size machines (the ADP8342 being a slim line model). They create an equal amount of suds but in a smaller machine. He recommended using liquids or powders that you can measure in more precisely. He also said that the problem doesn't occur as often, perhaps counter intuitively, if the dishes are dirtier, this is due to the suds being suppressed by all the food and grease.
Hope this helps
