How can I fix my Miele G865 dishwasher?

It's unlikely to be the timer.
If the machine does not take in enough water, the programme will stick at the 2 heating positions until you move it on. Also the box will not open.
OR, the water pressure switch is blocked or faulty.
Both will cause this fault.
When the machine fills with water, feel the inlet box( it will vibrate slightly). When it stops vibrating, the fill has stopped. Open the door & check the amount of water inside( it should come to approx. 5mm above the plastic circular part of the filter in the base). If it doesn't then it's a problem with the water inlet.
