whats wrong with tricity bendix it 2 years old?

my tricity bendix washingmaching is jus over 2 years old it keeps tripping my electric, so my brother inlaw is and electrican and spotted a live wire so he taped it up so when i put the washing on after it i noticed a puddle on the floor and it still keeps tripping.. so im thinking about buying a new maching am i wise or what do you think the problem is? thanks
