ford escort 1994?

how do i fix my ford escort 1994. the problem i have is that my lights, stereo and my clock all went at the same time along with my central locking. i think it is my fusebox but i dont know how to check it out, any ideas? if i turn on my stereo no sound comes on but my clock also turns on, but if i go to do anythin with either of them or my lights then they all turn off again. please help, its driving me insane

I had a similar problem with my escort a 93 model. The electrics just died, the problem with mine was a faulty fuse box and i was told this is a fairly common problem. I had mine replaced at a cost of £260. If you can find a friend who works in a garage to get you a replacement fuse box at cost price! Hope this is of some help to you.
