if it is diesel check the feed wire to the pump solinoid and check the timing belt has not snapped, if petrol check the timing belt plus they have a fuel cut of switch that shuts the fuel off if u crash but can go off if u hit a big bump they can get a bit twichy on and old cars this is only on the petrol engin one other thing on the diesel is the fuel filter housing the pump on top some times gets drawn down and shuts of fuel pull it back up and get some one to try and start it while u hold it, little tip if the engine spins over faster than normal then the timing belt is snapped hope this helps
