Mend Fiat 188 Bonnet Cable Catch

I cannot open the bonnet on my fiat punto?

The bonnet cable or catch is faulty as I cannot open the bonnet on my 2003 1.2 fiat punto

I had the same problem, the catch at the bonnet end is probs seized, try pulling the latch and ggetting a mate to tug the bonnet up. otherwise try spraying wd40 in the catch, this may free it up enough. Mine ended up going into the garage to get them to climb underneath the car, and reach the latch.

the fiat punto bonnet opening thing is located under the steering wheel. on the right hand side there should be a reddish orangy leveron the far right hand side.. you may need to push the chair back and have a look under the steering.

do you know where the fuel pump/filter is located on the 2003 model by any chance?
