How can I fix really noisy Hotpoint Diamond Aquarius Ultra washing machine?

The machine in question is the 1000 Super 9777 model.

When it is washing and more so when spinning it makes a really loud noise. The only thing I can compare it to is Rolff Harris wobbling his metal saw or whatever he actually used? Can you picture the noise I am trying to describe?

When I push down on the drum and move it back and forwards I can't feel any uneveness, nor vertical movement? The springs holding the weight on top of the drum are also still attached.

The machine is on a slight uneven floor, but I don't think that would have an effect?
