Boiler stops working, takes numerous attemps to get pilot to light boiler runs for approx 2 weeks then the same thing happens

Try replacing the high limit stat. if you take off the cover it should be on the left handside, halfway up. it has two cables connecting to central unit. turn off all power and gas first.
