Asko T700 Butterfly DryerIt takes about 300 minutes to dry...maybe?

I have just purchased an Asko T700 dryer (used). I was all excited about it. But...it is faster to hang my clothes up and dry them on a hanger in my house than to use my "new" clothes dryer. I called the same service repairman who had fixed my Asko washer last week by having to replace the heating element...and he said that it was normal to have an Asko dryer take that long to dry clothes. He asked if my clothes were warm when I got them out, yes they were. I had already scrubbed the lint thing with a toothbrush and warm soapy water and checked the back for any build up of lint. He said that there was nothing else I could do. Does anyone know what is wrong with my "new" dryer? Did I just buy a lemon? Help!
