check the three neutral safety switches, you may have a short in one of them. The three swithces are for the seat, the clutch and the power to drive the blades, most likely it is the clutch switch.

Make sure your connections to the battery are tight and on the correct posts(some batteries have reverse terminals),if your good there it could be a number of things.You can use a 12 volt test light to check where you are getting power.Things to check:all wiring connections-the key switch,safety switches,starter,fuse(fuses),you may also have a selenoid switch.
