Using old sewing machine today, when foot pedal smelt like it has burnt out inside! Made the machine go flat out only way to stop it was to turn off at mains! Have opened up foot pedal - looks like the insides of a car !! ie No idea what i'm looking at or for any help greatly appreciated. Julie

Just a thought, when you opened up the foot control did you have a white ceramic bloick inside or did you haver a complete coil of wire all the way round the control.

The suppressor in the foot control has burnt out, nothing drastic, undo the foot control and you will see the suppressor which looks like a very big fuse, take it out, throw it away and it will work perfectly, contact me if you wish. drivewithken@blueyonder.co.uk
