i had that and found a filter behind the glove box. changed that and all was sorted.

yeah check the water if there is oil mixing or just starting to your head gasket on the way out.but if not no need to worry,,,, heaters,,,,,, change thermostat .check all pipes for cracks ..

Check your coolant (water, anti-freeze) level
If it is low the heater will not work properly
