Mend Candy CDC 266 Tumble Drier Works

CANDY CDC 266 NO LONGER HEATS UP?

Tumble drier works, but FILTER CARE LED remains on.

I have stripped down and removed every piece of lint from the complete air system.

LED goes out on the cool cycle but comes back on for the warm cycle.

Therefore I believe its either the heating element or the Thermostat but don't know which one to replace, does anyone have any ideas how I can test either component?

thermostat needs replacing theres x2 attached to theheat element on the back of the unit, under the metal cover. if ether go then u need to replace it. or u can replace the whole heat element and thermostats cause i've seen em going 4 £25 on ebay!!
