Mend Peugeot 206 Engine Diesel Coolant

why does my 205 diesel engine coolant light keep coming on and off?

my 206 mardi gras 1.8 diesel seems to be running fine but the light in the very bottom right of the dash (engine coolant light according to the manual) keeps coming on and going off again. it only seems to happen in 1st and 2nd gear and rather alarmingly when i go around corners! the manual advises that i need to get a garage to drain the coolant system? can i do this myself? if so how? thanks

Peugeot Peugeot 206 Vehicles, Cars Engine Diesel Coolant

Mine does this too. Putting more coolant in it makes it go away again! Just use a water/antifreeze mix and it'll be fine. They seem to lose water over time anyway.

could be just a little bit low. you might just need to add a little coolant
