do you have to have water goin into the fridge freezer if your not using the water and ice dispencer??

Samsung Samsung SR-S2028CVW Kitchen Appliances, Refrigerators Samsung Water Fridge Ice

I have a samsung american style fridge/freezer model number- SR-S2028CVW that has a problem with the fridge constantly after a few hours cutting out & the temperature going right up! eventually it goes back down or you can turn it off for a while and it restarts & works for a while then cuts out again.There is no problem with the freezer part at all.Can anyone advise me as to what the problem could be?

no if not using dispenser u dont have to have it connected
