Mend Problem Hours Perfectly

Monitor problem?

Screen is flicking and all different colours but especially brown.Unusable for about 5 hours and then slowly clears and then perfectly OK.

Any help appreciated.

If it is old, it is probably on its way out. (On mine, the left and right edges started to curve in when it was failing.)
