What's wrong with my 7" Mintek portable DVD player?

I own a Mintek portable DVD player. I don't know the model number. There is a large black mark on the bottom (middle) of the screen. It's almost as if something got under the screen. Is it possible something got under the screen and ruined it? Or, is it possible that it's water and it will eventially dry up and it will be ok?

Try switching your LINE SELECT button from OUT to IN, and then back to OUT. Else, if it is water, place Mintek in front of a fan for a couple of hours to try and dry that water out..
