My gilera 125sp cut out?

My Gilera 125SP cut out on me when i was driving about 60mph. I still have battery power but my electric start hasent worked for a while so i have always used the kick start. Now it dosent even start when i kick it over. The bike has had a sports pipe and 28mm carb but has had them for a while and they have worked fine. I have had the crank casing off and it seems the starter moter is popping out so i put it back in place fit the casing back kick it and nothing stripn it down again and the starter has popped out again.
