My Gilera 125SP cut out on me when i was driving about 60mph. I still have battery power but my electric start hasent worked for a while so i have always used the kick start. Now it dosent even start when i kick it over. The bike has had a sports pipe and 28mm carb but has had them for a while and they have worked fine. I have had the crank casing off and it seems the starter moter is popping out so i put it back in place fit the casing back kick it and nothing stripn it down again and the starter has popped out again.
did the engine slow down before it stopped?if so i would say it had had a partial seiure,take the head off and look into the barrel and see if there is any scoring on the piston or sides of the barrel.
