Yes, definitley sounds like the bearings gone. I had the same on a WM63 model. The method of replacement should be the same as for this model. There is an answer I found on this site as to how to replace them. If yours has the drive wheel on the back of the drum...look through the top or possibly remove either the whole back panel or the small inspection hatch on the bac, then the rear bearing may be visible behind the pulley. The front bearing sits inside the drum outer cover at the back behind a seal. You won't see it until you take the actual drum away. It took me about five hours to replace mine, but I dismantled more than I needed to to make it slightly easier. Also, I did some cleaning up of the parts while it was apart.
