Mend Hitachi VT-M151A VCR VHS Repair

How do I fix my Hitachi VHS model VT-M151A?

When I turn on the VCR it engages for about 5-10 seconds, stops and turns off. Can you tell me what is wrong with this unit. Everything seems to be turning and working properly.
