Mend Hotpoint WMA30 Washing Machine Electric

trips out?

my hotpoint wma30 trips the electric out when going into spin any ideas could it be the brushes need replacing

hi,
in my experience it sounds more like motor problems but yes i would firstly change the brushes its cheaper roughly £10 a set and if it still trips out you know it needs a motor and you can keep the brushes as a spare set --all good......ive never found a pump to blame for a machine trippin out...hope this helps ..lee.

Does it trip out as soon as it reaches the spin cycle... if so, suspect the drain pump to be faulty.
Pull live & neutral wires from the pump, then put machine to spin cycle, if it doesn't trip, fit a new pump.
