Trim strips at the front of the side panels can be popped off (A tack lifter was useful for this part of the procedure) to reveal fixing screws for the side panels which should be removed next. The control panel is fixed by two screws on either side that can be removed to allow the control panel to be lifted clear of the oven. The Thermostat control is easily removed from the panel and the capillary head can be threaded under the hotplate assembly, down the back and in through the rear of the oven.
