Regarding Accente 8 burglar alarm,moving room detector?

I turned the main power off, but how do you disconect the battery without the alarm going off.

try removing the front of the panel, the anti tamper should kick in and the alarm sound enter your code, this should stop the alarm, then remove the battery.
