My Kenmore 70 series washer will not drain or spin?
My Kenmore 70 series washer will not drain or spin. It will function through the aggitation stages and sounds like it wants to drain but the water level stays the same. I have followed the trouble shooting guide on the washer, by unplugging and flipping the braker, and checking the hoses are not kinked. I have even tested the lib switch.
A Home Depot appliance sales person told me that it was the filter (internal) that was probably clogged. Can unplug, remove and plug in a new one. About $20 part.
The real hurdle is getting into the machine for repair. See the answer to that question by someone else.
I also suspicioned that it could be the timer/selector. Sales person said try the filter first.
I have not tried this yet - getting in for the repair seems a major obsticle.
