Mend Taps Bathroom Flow

TAP HARD TO TURN?

The bathroom sink taps are progressively getting harder to turn on and off, the water flows fine but is getting increasingly harder to make sure thay are turned off properly. they were new a year ago. The taps fit onto a mixerspout. Is it a new washer or something more complicated??
